therapy for adults in SF & Throughout california
Adult Therapy
Many adults come to therapy not because they've hit rock bottom but because something quieter is happening beneath the surface. They're functioning, even thriving by most measures, but privately feeling stuck, disconnected, or unlike themselves. Maybe the relationships they've invested in aren't working the way they hoped. Maybe the career they worked so hard to build has left them feeling empty. Maybe they're in the middle of a transition they didn't see coming and aren't sure who they're becoming on the other side.
If any of that resonates, you're in the right place.
Individual therapy is a collaborative space where we work together to better understand your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences. Therapy can help you navigate challenges, process difficult emotions, develop healthier patterns, and build a stronger connection with yourself and others.
Who I work with
I work with driven, self-aware adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are ready to go beneath the surface and do real work. My clients are often navigating:
Anxiety, depression, or burnout that has built up over time
Relationship patterns that keep repeating, in romantic partnerships, friendships, or family dynamics
A growing gap between the life they have and the life they actually want
Identity questions about who they are, what they value, and what comes next
Major life transitions including career changes, breakups, moves, or shifting relationships
You don't have to be in crisis to start therapy. You just have to sense that something needs to change.
How i work
My approach
-
I believe meaningful change starts with understanding yourself more deeply. Together, we’ll explore the emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, past experiences, and underlying beliefs that may be shaping how you think, feel, and move through the world.
-
Insight alone is not typically enough. Therapy may also include learning concrete skills and tools to help you navigate anxiety, emotional overwhelm, self-criticism, boundaries, communication, relationships, and stress in ways that feel healthier and more sustainable.
-
Therapy does not only happen during sessions. At times, I may encourage reflection, journaling, mindfulness practices, or other exercises between sessions to help you apply what we discuss in therapy to your daily life in a meaningful and lasting way.
-
I strongly value therapy that is grounded in research and informed by evidence-based treatments. My work integrates approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which I tailor to each person’s unique needs, goals, and experiences rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
-
I strive to create a therapy space that feels warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming. I recognize that our identities, relationships, cultures, and lived experiences shape the way we move through the world, and I aim to approach this work with openness, humility, and respect.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
Whether you’re navigating relationship struggles, anxiety, burnout, identity questions, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a space to better understand yourself and create meaningful change.
I’d be honored to support you in that process.
