Anxiety in high-functioning people often does not look obvious from the outside. It can show up as constant overthinking, perfectionism, difficulty relaxing, people-pleasing, overpreparing, needing control, or feeling like your mind never fully shuts off. Many people with anxiety appear capable and productive while privately carrying a constant sense of pressure, fear, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion.
You may find yourself replaying conversations, worrying about making mistakes, struggling to be present, feeling overwhelmed by decisions, or constantly anticipating what could go wrong next. For some people, anxiety can also show up physically through tension, restlessness, irritability, difficulty sleeping, panic symptoms, or feeling perpetually “on edge.”
In therapy, we work to better understand the underlying fears, emotional experiences, and patterns contributing to anxiety while also building practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control. I integrate approaches including CBT and DBT to help clients identify anxious thought patterns, reduce avoidance and overanalysis, strengthen emotional regulation skills, practice mindfulness, improve distress tolerance, and develop healthier ways of responding to uncertainty and stress.
Together, we’ll focus not only on managing anxiety symptoms, but also on helping you create a life that feels more balanced, connected, and sustainable. The goal is not to eliminate all anxiety, but to help you move through the world with greater self-trust, flexibility, and peace of mind.
